As a vegetarian, I’m Definitely NOT interested in the Impossible Burger
As a vegetarian, are you interested in eating the Impossible Burger?
No, I am not. It is disgusting. Recently, I was on a business trip in downtown Orlando when I happen chanced upon a burger joint on the corner of Orange Avenue and Church Street.
“Do you have any vegetarian burgers?” I inquired.
“Yes. We have the Impossible Burger. You can select from any of our gourmet burgers, and we will substitute the Impossible Burger, with the works.”
“Okay, I’ll take the burger with the sauteed mushrooms and onions,” I replied.
Now, mind you, I had never heard of the Impossible Burger before. It was apparently invented or first promoted at Burger Kings.
After a long wait, my number was called, and I took my bag with burger and fries over to a counter, unwrapped the burger, and took the first bite.
Eauuuu!!!!! To my horror, it looked like and tasted like real meat!
I spit it out and went over to the cash register to talk with the clerk.
“Excuse me, but I believe the chef did not honor my request. This appears to be a real meat hamburger. I requested a vegetarian burger.”
In the past, my experience with vegetarian burgers has been bean burgers, or burgers that are made out of veggie/soy patties, with the vegetables clearly seen inside the veggie patty. However, when I examined the Impossible Burger, it appeared to have raw real hamburger meat in the middle. Check it out:
^^^^^ How absolutely disgusting is that??? ^^^^^
Even if I were a real meat eater, I would not want to eat raw hamburger meat.
Why do meat eaters continue to assume that vegetarians are secretly craving real meat? This is fallacy. If I wanted real meat, I would go ahead and eat real meat.
But I am a vegetarian because I have no desire for meat.
I therefore do not want to eat a vegetarian hamburger that looks, smells, and tastes like real disgusting meat.
I asked for a full refund.
I shall never order another Impossible Burger ever again in my entire life.
It is disgusting.
